Award Winner: Commercial Painting Inc.

Company Location: Worthington, OH

Description:
When Commercial Painting, Inc. received a request for proposal, new construction, single level, multi-wing primary school with a seven day turnaround, they knew quality, sequencing and attention to detail were going to be of the utmost importance. Building on their experience and the proven track records of the products used, Commercial Painting Inc. knew that they had to get the job right the first time to ensure a long service life for the customer. Their management team and the use of PCA Standards provided a uniform and solid plan which laid a concrete foundation to begin the project. When awarded the bid, a two days’ start notice with a strict deadline provided its fair share of issues. Focusing on key terms, Standard P7, helped align all trades and expedite the process. Commercial Painting Inc.’s crew met the macro scale with manpower and the micro scale with each painter having proper procedural plans. A number of skills were required to complete the project in addition to various substrates and colors. To complete the project on time and within budget, PCA Standard P4 was utilized to ensure all trades on the job were informed. PCA Standard P18 and P11 were also an important part of completing the project. Quality workmanship and skill level are demonstrated in this project. Congratulations to Commercial Painting Inc. for receiving the 2017 PCA PIPP Award for Commercial Interior Award.
